We have all new beginner terrain from which to launch into a life long love of skiing. Parking has been upgraded and there are more dining options than ever. Kachina Peak continues to draw visitors from around the world to some of the most challenging and lung busting terrain in North America, Even with these changes, Taos retains the charm and funkiness that it has always been known for, not to mention the best skiing you can find. Snow Bear lives up to Taos's fun and funky nature, built into the side of the ski hill, you will need to bring the four wheel drive to access our property in the winter time (or call ahead to plan). You can ski right up to our front door and stick your skis in the snow bank for the next day's fun (in Winter, with coverage). Our on-site host is nearby to show the way on the slopes or provide dinner recommendations. Find out when his break is and you might get to check out some of Taos's hidden terrain! Love of the mountains and the snow guide Snow Bear and its crew. You will find clean, well-appointed units brought to you with a friendly smile. We can't wait to have you up.

Reviews
Roomy Ski Spot
by StephenNice condo that can definitely fit plenty of people. The ski in was nice, (a snowcat track that might get a little icy) but the ski out wasn’t practical with the snow being what it was. We found walking up to the Kandahar to be the best way to get to the lifts with low snow and beginners who can’t really make it through the trees.
The only major drawback, as other people have mentioned, are the stairs. It’s definitely a work out getting your bags up there at almost 10,000 ft.
Very Pleased!
by KatGreat location. 8 of us headed out to Taos Ski Valley during the week. 4x4 HIGHLY recommended if it’s going to snow while you’re there. Otherwise park elsewhere. We had a great time. Beautiful scenery. Never had to use the vehicle while we were there. Responsive host. Photos accurate. We were all pleased!
Absolutely Perfect
by SarahiThis place is absolutely perfect!! It’s within walking distance of the ski resort and all the restaurants and amenities in the ski valley. We especially liked how it was on the top floor and corner or the building so there was plenty of privacy and quiet up there. This place was equipped with everything you could possibly need and it was also very cozy and comfortable.
I would highly recommend anyone visiting the Taos ski valley to stay here. Greg and Cat were super friendly and responsive. I’ll definitely stay here again!
Rustic Cozy Condo!
by BrennaFound about 30 minutes north of Taos, you will find this rustic, cozy condo. My husband, baby and I, along with my parents and our collective pack of 4 dogs were all very comfortable in the two bedroom, two bath cabin style abode. The trek up and down three flights of stairs every time we had to take the dogs out to relieve themselves was a great workout!! The kitchen was packed with all the utensils and dishes you could need, including a waffle iron!!
We had a couple issues (nothing serious enough to comment on) and our host was fast acting, incredibly nice, and easy to talk to. We loved the gas fireplace, the jetted tub, and the fact that our furry friends could join us on our adventures.
Can’t wait to come back again!
by LauraWe absolutely love this place! The layout was perfect for two parents and two kids. We had a great time in the main room watching movies and hanging out with the gas fireplace on. The kitchen is just right, and the beds were super comfy. Our hosts were welcoming and gracious. Excellent communication! We can’t wait to come back again.
