41 Twining
Taos Ski Valley
41 Twining is a charming 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath cabin located in the heart of Taos Ski Valley, just a short walk to Lift 1. This renovated 1960’s A frame cabin is located at the edge of the forest, gracing you with the full “cabin in the woods” experience but with the rare perk of being centrally located to anything you could want. To top off the experience, a large 7-person hot tub is available for your enjoyment on the front porch, offering classic pine forest views, a glimpse of snow-capped mountains and twinkling stars on a cloudless night. After a soak in the hot tub while breathing in the crisp, mountain air, come inside and cozy up to the wood burning stove located on the main level and finish the night with a movie by the fire.
The Kitchen:
This cabin is equipped with anything you could ever want while on a family vacation including a large kitchen, fully equipped for all types and levels of cooking. Granite countertops make up the spacious u-shaped counter layout, completing the look with a full range stove, deep stainless steel sink, large stainless steel fridge and a walk-in pantry supplied with basic spices and all the appliances you could possibly need. In addition to the large unobstructed granite counter that doubles your surface space and makes for the perfect serving station, the neighboring open concept dining room houses a live-edge wood dining table that seats 8.
The Bedrooms:
The cabin has the ability of sleeping up to 7 people comfortably between the 3 bedrooms.
The spacious main bedroom located on the top floor comes with a private bathroom, desk, and can comfortably sleep up to 3 people as it’s equipped with a king-size bed and a full-size daybed.
The other two bedrooms are located on the lowest floor – giving you an entire floor to separate sleeping areas. On the lowest floor you’ll find the second full bathroom, laundry room, and backdoor that leads to a covered porch with a ski rack for your convenience.
The smaller of the two bedrooms on the bottom floor contains a large full-size bunk bed and a queen-size sleeper sofa, creating space for up to 4 people to sleep comfortably. This room also houses the second flatscreen TV making it the perfect kids’ room for a family trip.
Due to all the various hangout nooks and separated sleeping areas, even at full occupancy– this cabin doesn’t feel crowded.
Amenities:
In addition to the previously noted hot tub and wood burning stove– this cabin also offers 3 different porch spaces, 2 of which are covered. There is a grill on one of the covered porches, and ski/snowboard storage at each of the entrances to the home (2 total). This property is also one of the few in the valley that offer covered parking, sleek and spacious enough for two large vehicles.
Location:
41 Twining is centrally located at the base of Taos Ski Valley, giving you the ability to walk to Lift 1, shops and restaurants. It’s also located just down the road from the trailhead for William’s Lake Trail, a 3 mile hike that takes you to a pristine mountain lake.
Taos Ski Valley is located roughly 30 minutes north of the town of Taos. Giving you the ability of exploring the art scene and restaurant scene the town is famed for when you’re not skiing or hiking.
Taos Regional Airport offers seasonal flights via JSX (with complimentary shuttle service available via TAOS) and is located 30 minutes away. The main airport is located 3 hours away in the city of Albuquerque and 2 hours to the city of Santa Fe.

Can’t say enough wonderful things!
by AnnaleighCan’t say enough wonderful things about our stay here! This beautiful A frame cabin was so cozy and accommodating for our group. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to cook and bbq easily. Just a short walk to lift 1 and a quick drive up to the Bavarian and wheeler peak trail head. Can’t recommend this place enough!
By Far the Best AirBnB
by AubreyThis is by far the best AirBnB we have stayed at and loved every aspect of our stay. We utilized this for a couples ski trip and could not have asked for a better experience. The property is so welcoming and has everything you need. Each space of the home is thought out, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the host provides many amenities for the guests. The home was very clean and we loved the hot tub after skiing all day. The home is a short walk to the slopes so was easy to access throughout the day and walkable to the base of the mountain. The bunk room would be more suitable for children than adults. The home is close to everything but still felt very quiet and private. The host was extremely responsive and friendly. We could not recommend this place more!
AWESOME
by Kelly SueThis place was AWESOME. Wood burning stove that cranked, a more than fully equipped kitchen and pantry, easy access to the slopes, beautiful, quiet area. Greg and Caitlin were very accessible and responsive when we had a question. The owners really thought of everything when setting up their home for short-term rentals. We appreciate the care they put into everything. Many thanks.
Beautiful, well stocked, intuitive and cozy!
by JayOur family of 4 had a perfect pre-Christmas stay at Greg's place. The house is beautiful, well stocked, intuitive and cozy. We especially loved the fireplace and the reading nook. Close enough to the ski village but far enough that you feel removed and relaxed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway near the Taos ski valley.
We really enjoyed our stay!
by RobThe home was wonderful for our party of two couples and three small children. It was about a 5 minute walk from the city center, which had a great area for the kids to play, along with coffee, restaurants and a small shop for grocery basics/snacks. It was close proximity to many great hikes/walks. It’s about a 30 minute drive to Taos, which had a broader selection of restaurants, shopping and activities for the kids. The home itself was very cozy and we comfortably cooked many of our meals with the well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed watching tv on the big comfortable couch and playing one of the many provided board games with the kids during our down time. We really enjoyed our stay!
