Adobe Tranquillo

I recently stayed at this Airbnb in Taos, New Mexico and it far exceeded my expectations. The listing's photos didn't do justice to the beauty and comfort of this place. It's the perfect size for a couple or a small group of friends, offering not just a cozy stay but also breathtaking scenery. I usually opt for accommodations closer to Taos Ski Valley but was drawn to this one because of its pictures. The drive to the Airbnb though different from the main road, turned out to be a stunning detour I plan to take from now on. An added surprise was its proximity to the Rio Grande Gorge - it's literally right next door. While the Airbnb is up a dirt road, which initially seems daunting, I found that driving a bit faster made it quite manageable. Overall, this Airbnb is a hidden gem in Taos, providing a unique and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for beauty, comfort and a bit of adventure in their stay.

An amazing location in an amazing part of the country! We loved being close to everything, but far enough away to enjoy the stars at night! Beautiful home that was everything we needed and more.

Short drive to some amazing places...Gorge Bridge, Earthship Homes, excellent restaurants (Medley!!), Taos, Santa Fe, the circle drive through the mountains. The hot tub in the evenings after a long day of sightseeing was perfect! The beds were comfy and we had EVERYTHING we needed for an excellent stay. We communicated with Greg a couple of times and he got back with us immediately. This was an awesome location, with an awesome host. Thank you!!

This was our first time in the Taos are and I didn't quite know what to expect. The house was clean and had suggestions on things to do, there were even supplies to paint the beautiful surroundings if you felt like it. It is very much situated in the dessert but the sunrise and sunsets over the mountains looking out the large windows from the living room are gorgeous. Make sure to go outside at night too, I don't think I've ever seen so many starts before and what a beautiful place to watch them from the hot tub!
We mainly hiked and there were lots of hiking trails that weren't too far from the house that we could drive to.
Definitely would stay here again for a peaceful, relaxed stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this abode and could not have chosen a better home base. The home was pristine and cozy and really captured the New Mexico vibe. There were so many special touches. The fireplace makes for such a cozy ambiance. The hot tub was so nice during sunset and into the evening under the stars.
I loved that the location had so much privacy, without being too isolated. There are amazing mountain views right from the master bedroom.
I found the property to be conveniently located to everything. It wad about 10 minutes to the Rio Grande Gorge, the Earthships, and the Taos Pueblo. It was about 15 minutes to the downtown Plaza, and about 40 to Ojo Caliente.
Thanks for a great stay. If I return to Taos, this is where I would stay again.
